LGA Students Visit the Xcel Energy Center

A group of students from LGA was invited to attend a MN Wild “game day experience” at the Xcel Energy Center. Hosted by the Autism Society of MN and Associated Bank, students from Lionsgate Academy (as well as a group from Spero) were able to tour the Xcel, ride the Zamboni and sit on the bench. The students also got to tour the Al Shaver Press Box, gazing down at the arena from the media’s lofty seats and seeing where all the in-arena magic happens. On the second floor, they could shoot pucks like the players they just watched on the ice. Even a tour of the arena concourse and suite level was a learning experience, as Wild staff stopped at different stations to explain various parts of game operations and finance. Check out Fox 9’s story here.
