Transportation to Lionsgate Academy is available through a number of means. If your family lives in the Hopkins School District, Lionsgate provides in-district transportation to our Minnetonka campus free of charge. If your family lives in the Mounds View school district, Lionsgate provides in-district transportation to our Shoreview campus free of charge.
Other options are available depending on location. An independent parent at both Shoreview and Minnetonka campuses volunteers to help parents find carpools. Please contact your child’s campus directly for more information regarding transportation, using the email addresses listed below.
Minnetonka
Students attending the Minnetonka campus may arrive at school via in-district transportation or special education transportation. Students with a driver’s license are allowed to drive to school, but must register with the Dean of Students and follow school expectations for drivers.
Transportation changes: If your student has Lionsgate transportation and they are going to be absent for a one way trip, both trips, or an extended period, please email and call the attendance line at 612-217-0436 and press 2.
Please report any changes to the student’s regularly scheduled afternoon bus routes to transportation no later than 2:00 pm. After 2:00 pm, Lionsgate Academy cannot guarantee that the changes can be communicated and organized before the students are dismissed. Absent a family emergency, we ask that you please adhere to this cutoff time and communicate any changes to us before 2:00 pm.
If you need to cancel transportation outside of school office hours (7:30am – 4:00pm), please call TCT directly at 952-884-6824, and still send an email to .
Regular parent pick-ups: Please remain stopped in the carpool line under the parking structure until an LGA staff member waves you to the main entrance. ALL VANS need to be sent on their way before parents can pick up their students. This will allow the vans to be on time for their routes.
If you would like to pick your student up before 3:40: Please park in the parking lot and enter our main entrance. You can sign your student out and be on your way.
Carpools: We are looking for a parent volunteer to be a point person for carpooling. If you are interested, please contact Sarah Mundy Evans at .

Any parent pick-ups that occur after 3:40: Please remain stopped at the stop sign in the carpool line until an LGA staff member waves you to the main entrance. Vans and cars are merging. Please use extra caution. Also please have your student enter your vehicle from the side of the car nearest the sidewalk. Please do not allow your students to walk around the driver’s side of the car to get in.
